Carla Cap

Carla Cap, age 58, of Yankton, passed away early Thursday morning, October 17, 2013 at the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, SD. Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel in Yankton, SD with Rev. Rick Jensen officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories in Yankton, SD. Visitations will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Shane Wynia, Jason Choat, Troy Schrank, and Mitch Sage.

Carla was born December 17, 1954 in Yankton, SD to Benjamin and Joyce (Fridrich) Cap and was baptized in the Presbyterian Church. She attended and graduated from Yankton High School in 1972. Carla had various jobs which included the Yankton Federal Prison Camp as a Correctional Officer. She was forced to retire due to her car accident.

Carla enjoyed embroidering and crocheting and helping people as much as she could. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Those who will cherish her memory are her mother, Joyce Tupker of Yankton, SD; sister, Myla Gautreaux of Yankton, SD; nephew, Shane Wynia; two great nieces, Sierra and Destiny, and one great great niece.
