Dale John Kulhavy, age 64, of Yankton, SD passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at his residence.

Dale John Kulhavy was born on December 16, 1951 to John and Anna (Kalkus) Kulhavy in Wagner, SD. He was the oldest of five children.

In 1970 he met Barbara Knittel, daughter of Jake and Esther Knittel in Gregory, SD and were married on May 8, 1971. Together they had three sons, Kevin, Kenneth and Kelly. They moved a few times from Gregory to Wagner and finally to Yankton in 1984, where Dale lived with his family until his death on July 21, 2016. He had many friends and loved to talk to anyone. He will be missed and loved by all.

Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons: Kevin, Kenneth and Kelly; daughter-in-law Renae Hamilton-Kulhavy; son-in-law, Jeremy Krieger-Kulhavy; granddaughter, Ciara, all of Yankton, SD and his furry four-legged grandchildren: Tyson, Teller and Boe.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Kulhavy; brother, David; sister, Denise; father and mother-in-law, Jake and Esther Knittel and sister-in-law, Alyce Knittel-Steppat.
