David L. Parry

April 22, 1932 — February 10, 2018

David Lowell Parry, the son of Donald and Eleanor (Code) Parry, was born on April 22, 1932 in Webster, South Dakota.  He was raised in Minneapolis, MN where he received his education.  After high school, David joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country in Korea.  After his honorable discharge, he returned to Minneapolis and went to work in the construction industry.


David was united in marriage to Carmen Engelman in Minneapolis,MN and to this union were born two daughters, Karen and Robin.  He later married Marilyn Breitung in South Dakota and they lived in Minneapolis, MN until his retirement.  Their retirement years were spent in Yankton, South Dakota.


His free time was spent pursuing his hobbies of hunting and fishing.  David was also a very avid football fan and especially of the Minnesota Vikings.  He also was a volunteer for the veterans, driving them to their appointments in Yankton and Sioux Falls.


Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn of Yankton, SD; his daughters, Karen (Jim) Peterson and Robin Cram; his grandchildren, Michael (Shelley), Sean (Lacey), Dana (Thomas), and Eric; his great-grandchildren:  Cooper, Mackenzie, Connor, Scarlett, and Lenore and other relatives and friends.


David was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Carmen in 2005.
