Joann (Jo) L. Sejnoha

Joann “Jo” L. Sejnoha, age 82 of Yankton, SD died at her home Monday, February 9, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, SD with Preacher Gabriel Nichols officiating. Joann was born in Chicago IL on July 8, 1943 to Joseph and Leonilla Sheils joining her big brother Bruce. She grew up and graduated high school in Pickstown, SD. She married Ron Sejnoha on September 8, 1962.

The couple lived in Mitchell and Sioux Falls, SD before settling in Yankton in 1972. She had a long career in banking at Valley State Bank and First National Bank until retiring.

Joann’s hobbies were bowling, boating, camping and playing cards with family and friends.

Gramma Jo will be cherished by her daughters Dawn (Richard) List, Dina Anderson, Danielle Sejnoha, 5 grandsons and 9 great grandchildren.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents, step father Tollof Christopherson, Ron’s parents Vincent and Margaret Sejnoha, and Jo’s brother Bruce Sheils.
