Judy M. Evans, 71, of Yankton died Monday, December 1, 2014, at the Avera Sister James Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6th, at Sacred Heart Church, Yankton, with the Father Robert Wullweber officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton. Visitations will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 5th at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. and Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. The Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, is assisting with service details. Judy Marie Evans was born on May 11, 1943 in St. Helena, NE to Urban and Bernadine (Weibel) Hoebelheinrich. She died at Avera Sister James Care Center on December 1st. She attained the age of 71 years. Prior to her death she resided at Autumn Winds Assisted Living Facility in Yankton. Judy was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She retired from Vishay-Dale Electronics several years ago. Family and friends meant to the world to Judy and loved spending time with her son, daughter, grandchildren, other family members and friends. Judy had a passion for gardening and canning. Her favorite book was a new recipe book. She loved baking especially-bread and pies; you name it Judy could make it. She was an awesome cook. Judy loved and knew her family genealogy very well. She loved to visit with everyone. Judy is survived by her son Mark (Vickie) Evans of Stanton NE, daughter Myrna (Karl) Saal of Charlotte NC, and four grandchildren Joshua Gennrich of Norfolk NE, Shaun Gennrich Columbus NE, and Abbey and Ashleigh Saal both of Charlotte, NC. Brothers Merril (Marge Boettcher) Hoebelheinrich of Laurel, MT; Myron (Carole) Hoebelheinrich of Cody, WY; Gaylon (Cheryl) Hoebelheinrich of Boynton Beach, FL. Sisters Bonnie (Charles) King of Deadwood, SD; Marilyn (Dave) Fiedler of Dakota Dunes, SD; Kathy (Loren) VanDerVliet, SD of Lead, SD; and Karen (Jerry) Kolda of Yankton, SD. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Bernadine Hoebelheinrich; Milton Evans, Husband; Brothers Urban Hoebelheinrich, Jr. and Virgil Hoebelheinrich; Brother-in-law Robert Goeden; Nephews David King, Michael King, and Dustin Hoebelheinrich; and Niece Lori Blomme.
