Leona Gall

GALL LEONA Leona Gall, age 95 of Sioux Falls, SD and formerly of Menno, SD passed away Thursday, October 06, 2016 at Southridge Health Care Center, Sioux Falls, SD. On-line condolences may be sent at: www.opsahl-kostelfuneralhome.com. Leona Zeeb was born to Albert and Emma (Knodel) Zeeb on January 17th, 1921. Leona was united in marriage with Elmer Peter Gall on June 30th, 1940. They farmed in the Scotland area for many years. In 1961 they moved to Sioux Falls where she worked in sales at Geyerman’s and then as a cook/dietician at Suburban Lanes and Sioux Valley Hospital. In 1968 they moved to West Bend, WI where she worked for the West Bend Company. Employed first working on the line and then as a line inspector. She worked there until 1983 when she retired and returned to Sioux Falls. Leona loved needlepoint, taking care of her gardens and flowers. She also loved spending time with family and playing cards. Leona is survived by her children: LaMont Gall of Sioux Falls, SD, Lyle (Linda) Gall of Scottsdale, AZ, Kathryn (Thomas) Andrews of Sioux Falls, SD; a brother Elmer (Verna) Zeeb of Freeman, SD; 14 Grandchildren: Deborah (Michael Kaskie) Werner, Kimberly (Craig) Sufficool, Michelle (Eddie) Ehlers, Val (Kathi) Breitag, Holli (Brad) Gallun, Jason (Christina) Gall, Tylynn (Rich Davis) Gordon, Travis (Raye) Gall, Raegan Gall, Larisa (Brian) Burgers, Meghan (Gabe) Romero, Shelby (Kevin) Olson, Jonathan Andrews, Alex Andrews, 24 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Elmer Gall, by her parents Albert & Emma Zeeb, sisters: Gertrude Edelman and Edna Fillaus; brothers: Christian (Christ), Gideon (Pete), Ewald (Freddie), Eugene (Hank), Reinhold (Ronnie), Helmuth (Billie) and Rueben; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Gall.
