Les Rave

Leslie H. Rave was born in Winnegago, NE to Willard C. and Violet (Thornton) Rave on March 5, 1957.  He was the oldest of five siblings, Mollie, Thornton Lee and Willard “Jim” Rave, Vaughnelle Peniska and Francine McKenzie (Peniska).  He was raised in Niobrara, NE where he also attended school.  He graduated from Niobrara High School and attended Haskell College.

Les enjoyed beading, making his own regalia.  He also loved to go to pow-wows.  His favorite football teams were the Vikings and Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Les is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gloria Jean (McBride) Rave; children:  Jared D. McBride, Raylene M. Rave, Savannah V. F. Rave and Santeena C. McBride; twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Violet; brother, Jim; son, Beau and two grandsons, Jaren and little Jaren.
