Lorraine R. Fisher

Lorraine R. Fisher, age 79, of Yankton, SD passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton, SD.

Lorraine R. Fisher was born in Blue Grass, ND on February 10, 1937 to Martin and Eugenia (Skalsky) Keller and was raised in the town of Hazelton, ND. Lorraine married Curtis Fisher on November 15, 1952 in Linton, ND and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Together they lived in North and South Dakota, Iowa and Southeast Alaska. The most important thing to mom, was her faith in the Lord and her family. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. Lorraine enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, softball, shooting pool and bingo. They settled in Yankton to be closer to their children.

Mom and grandma to be remembered by her BEAUTIFUL SMILE.

Grateful for sharing her life are her sons, Steven Fisher of Yankton, SD, Kevin (Cindy) Fisher of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Duane Fisher of Kearney, MO; daughters, Sherry Fisher of Yankton, SD and Elaine (Roger) Gordon of Davenport, IA; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; sisters, Wanda and Beverly; sister-in-law, Bessie Merkel of Mobridge, SD and son-in-law, Donn Larson of Hudson, SD.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Fisher; daughter, Linda Larson; son, John Fisher; grandson, Drake Gordon, granddaughter, Stephanie Fisher; sister, Dorinda Anderson and sister-in-law, Nadine Mozer.
