Patricia P. Roberts

Patricia P. Roberts, age 79 of Yankton, SD passed away early Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Avera Yankton Care Center, Yankton, SD surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, SD with her nephew Rev. Ron Auch officiating. Burial will be in the Yankton Cemetery, Yankton, SD. Visitations will be 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory, Yankton, SD and then one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stephanie Carpenter, Michelle Carpenter, Justin Mace, Mike Mitchell, Everett Bellin, Michelle Mitchell, Marcus Mitchell, and Lincoln Brannick. Patricia Phyllis Roberts was born September 8, 1936 in Yankton, SD to John and Lala (Mason) Wolhoy, the youngest of twelve. She grew up in Utica and Tabor and graduated high school in Tabor. She worked at various jobs during her life and finally settled in with her job as Mom and Nana! Patricia married William (Bill) Roberts on September 15, 1957 in Rapid City and to this union three children were born. Patricia married Duane Coffman in 1965 in Yankton and to this union two children were born. On March 10, 1975 she remarried the love of her life, Bill. Patricia is survived by her five children: David of Yankton,SD, Tammy (Mike) Mitchell of Yankton, SD, Beverly (Everett) Bellin of Yankton, SD, Jannie (James Mason) DeLong of Yankton, SD and Deanna (Kim Andrews) Coffman of Bloomfield, NE; six grandchildren: Stephanie (Lincoln Brannick) Carpenter of Yankton, SD, Michelle (Jason Jaton) Carpenter of Irene, SD, Billy Mace of Yankton, SD, Justin (Maria Konken) Mace of Yankton, SD, Fred DeLong of Yankton, SD and Ryan DeLong of Sioux Falls, SD; four step-grandchildren: Michelle, Marcus, Heather and Amanda; four great-grandchildren: Kylie, Kali, Dorian, and Koury and many special relatives and friends. A huge thank you goes out to the wonderful staff at Avera Yankton Care Center for taking such great care of Pat. You were family to her and all of us. Patricia was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill in 2013, her parents, her siblings, one infant granddaughter, Amy in 1993, a son-in-law, Terry Mace, and her beloved dog, Rascal.
