Patricia Ann (Wieseler) Schieffer age 92 of Crofton, Nebraska, passed away peacefully, January 9, 2026 at the Centerville Care and Rehab in Centerville, South Dakota. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday, January 16, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, from 5:00-7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm wake service all at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton. Burial will be at St. Rose Cemetery in Crofton. Patricia was born October 12, 1933 in Wynot, Nebraska to Leo and Ellen (McDunn) Wieseler. She attended Holy Trinity School in Hartington, Nebraska.
After high school, Patricia took classes to teach school. She taught in a country school south of Crofton. She then married Delwyn Schieffer on June 22, 1952. To this union five girls and one boy were born.
Patricia loved to cook, bake, and sew. She made many wedding cakes and bridesmaid dresses and also sewed clothes for her five girls. She also helped many hours on the farm taking care of animals and did all the book keeping for the farm. Patricia loved to travel, getting to see both the east and west coasts and a few countries in Europe. Patricia sang in the church choir for forty years.
Patricia is survived by her children; JoAnn Salas of Sioux City, Iowa, LaDonna (Lawrence) Lundberg of Crofton, Nebraska, Mary Lee (Gerry) Johnson of Crofton, Nebraska, Michael Schieffer of Crofton, Nebraska, Kathleen (Larry) Taylor of Crofton, Nebraska; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and 12 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delwyn, all of her sibling and their spouses, Bill (Carol) Wieseler, Leo (Marge) Wieseler, Martin (Shirley) Wieseler, Del Rae (Lou) Svart, Mary (Larry) Seyl, Allan (Joy) Wieseler, and Luella Wieseler, one daughter Renee Bolich, one son in law Gary Bollich, and daughters in law Lois Schieffer and Lori Schieffer.
