Rodney Bickerstaff, age 46 of Santee, NE passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Rodney was born November 12, 1972 at St Mary’s Hospital in Scottsbluff NE to Robert Bickerstaff Sr., and Mary Marquez. Rodney was baptized on December 10, 1972 at the Lady of Guadalupe Church in Scottsbluff Nebraska. Rodney spent his young life in Santee where he attended school, played basketball, football and was a champion boxer. He also grew up traveling the pow wow trail as a fancy dancer. Rodney later went on to college and received his Applied Science Degree in Electronics.

Rodney met and married Kimberly White of Santee NE; his children; Breanna , Rodney Jr, Ricky Bickerstaff & Cody Frazier. Rodney spent most of his time enjoying his children & grandchildren and attending sporting events with family. Rodney worked many years as an electronic engineer in Norfolk, NE & Yankton SD and for the Ohiya Casino in Santee.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Kimberly; daughter, Breanna; sons, Ricky Bickerstaff & Cody Frazier; brothers, Robert Bickerstaff Jr. and Ryan Bickerstaff; sisters, Jerri and Janeen Bickerstaff and  many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Rodney was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Bickerstaff Jr.; father, Robert Bickerstaff Sr.; brother, Ricky Bickerstaff and grandmother, Adelia Bickerstaff.

Rodney was known as a quiet man of very few words, but he was also known to be very loving father, grandfather and friend. Rodney will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
