Tiffany Grovijahn Pommerville was born on October 13, 1987 in Denver, Colorado to Thomas Grovijahn and Stephanie Hoskins. Tiffany and her father settled in Yankton, South Dakota, where Tiffany attended public school. During high school, Tiffany was placed in foster care until her mother and stepfather were able to take custody. She then moved to Smithville, Missouri, where she graduated in 2006.
After high school, Tiffany worked as a veterinarian assistant. She later became a nanny for Hunter, Katherine and Morgan, the children of Richard Sparrow. She married Richard in 2007 and became a mom to his children. Tiffany was blessed with a daughter, Kylie, in 2008. Following her divorce from Richard, Tiffany moved back to Yankton where she was later reunited with Jeff Pommerville, the love of her life. Jeff and Tiffany were married in 2014 and had two children, Brooklyn and Elliott. Tiffany became a grandmother at the young age of 33 years and was very proud of that title.
Tiffany had a simple view of life. She loved her family and friends and wanted to help any person or animal. Her diagnosis of breast cancer and the cancer treatments complicated her life for five long years. Tiffany bravely continued her busy family life, while earning her LPN degree, training horses, raising dogs, birds, and a host of other animals. She worked at a nursing home and later at CORE.
A mother to six children, Tiffany cherished her special moments through the years of playing UNO with Elliott, doing diamond art and riding horses with Brooklyn, playing video games and Legos with Kylie, caring for animals with Morgan, dressing up with Katherine while traveling for her cheerleading competitions, and attending Hunter’s wrestling events. Tiffany was very creative and loved crocheting, doing diamond art, woodworking, and crafting. While getting cancer treatments, she often crocheted or did other projects. Whenever she could the family enjoyed trail rides, off-roading, camping, traveling, haunted houses, and going to exotic animal auctions.
Tiffany had lost many loved ones including her parents, ex-husband Richard, grandparents, and her beloved horse, Harper. Tiffany is survived by her husband, Jeff Pommerville, children Kylie Watson-Sparrow, Brooklyn and Elliott Pommerville, her stepchildren, Hunter and Morgan Sparrow, Katherine Sparrow Guzman, her grandchild, Bobby Guzman and nephew Gavin Haynes, who Jeff and Tiffany recently opened their home for him. Other survivors include stepfather, Bob Delehante, Jeff’s parents, Mike and Tammy Pommerville, foster parents, Ron and LaVonne Lorenzen, sister Page Kelley-Salinas and brother Brandon Delahante, sister-in-law Vanessa Teegarden, her very good friend, Allie, and many nephews, nieces, friends and co-workers.
Tiffany was called home far too soon. Even at the end of life, Tiffany donated her corneas in order to help someone have sight. We will miss her adventuresome spirit and her caring heart. She is now with all of her family that have gone before her and riding Harper through God’s beautiful meadows.
A special thank you to the hospice staff that took such very good care of Tiffany and her family.
