Zachary A "Zach" Johnson

Zach was born on February 2, 2002 in Yankton, South Dakota to Dan and Tina (Gienger) Johnson and brothers, Derrick and Jason Johnson to make their family complete.  Zach grew up in Tyndall, SD and was in his freshman year at Bon Homme High School.  Zach was well known and liked through his many activities including football, wrestling, baseball, and his academic achievements.  He was also very involved in St. John’s Lutheran Church through Sunday school, vacation bible school, youth group and church camp in the summers.

Zach was his own individual.  He was able to go up to almost anyone and make conversation, getting to know them with his half-smirk smile that followed his loving demeanor.  He would carry unlimited amounts of fruit snacks with him and a love for children cartoons, especially Paw Patrol.

Zach is survived by his brothers, Derrick (Brooke) Johnson of Brandon, SD and Jason (Breanna Johanneson) Johnson of Tyndall, SD; grandparents, Nilus & JoAnne Johnson of Mitchell, SD; uncles:  Matt Johnson of Mitchell, SD, Curt (Elaine) Johnson of Beresford, SD, Jeremie (Melissa) Johnson of Glenwood, OK, Keith Gienger of  Robinson, ND and Kevin (Dawn) Gienger of Kensal, ND; aunts:  Pauline (Darwin) Roeske of Jamestown, ND, Lori (Bill) Rath of Cleveland, ND and several cousins.

Zach was preceded in death by his nephew, Johnathan Johnson; grandparents, Arthur & Lois Gienger and cousin, Wally Diede.
